LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ioana always had a passion for languages and literature. She grew up bilingual German/Rumanian and learned already in school English, French and Latin.
Following her passion she studied Spanish, English and Italian at the Ruhr-University in Bochum, Germany, acquired the Advanced Latin Proficiency Certificate and graduated with a Magister Artium degree.
She studied Spanish for 1 year at the Faculty for Philosophy and Literature in the University “Complutense” in Madrid.
After finishing her studies she continued learning Spanish-German translation at the Spanish Academy in Düsseldorf and has passed the Spanish-German/German-Spanish translation exam at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Düsseldorf.
Ioana has completed an intensive tourism course for academics in Germany and acquired the English in Tourism Certificate. She has continued to deepen her knowledge of the English language through extensive reading and a close contact to the expat community in Marbella.
Having lived for 19 years on the Costa del Sol, she had the opportunity of perfecting her knowledge of the Spanish language.
EXPERIENCE AS AN INTERPRETER, TRANSLATOR AND PERSONAL ASSISTANT
After completing her studies Ioana worked for over 10 years in Germany as an interpreter, translator and as a personal assistant.
For 3 years she worked in incoming agencies in Málaga and Benalmádena and for 5 years as a multilingual personal assistant for the Architect Gustavo Loiseau at “Gustavo Loiseau & Asociados” in Marbella.
She worked as an interpreter in Marbella and continued translating documents, webpages and contracts for her private clients.
In recent years she has been offering a personal interpreter service to her clients taking care of everything: transfers, bureaucratic procedures, interpreter services at different administrative offices, phone calls to phone, electricity and water companies, translations of mortgage contracts and correspondence with architects and lawyers.
Having lived on the Costa del Sol for 19 years, Ioana has a deep insight into the Spanish mentality and knows how to help her clients to solve problems, undergo bureaucratic procedures and achieve their goals in the most effective and fastest way possible.
PRIVATE SPANISH COURSES IN MARBELLA AND MIJAS
Ioana worked for 10 years as a Spanish teacher in Germany.
After moving to Spain 19 years ago Ioana continued teaching German, English and Spanish in Málaga and Marbella, teaching also specialized courses to the employees of the Hotel El Fuerte in Marbella and to bank employees in Málaga and Marbella.
She has a solid knowledge of the Spanish grammar and takes care that her private students learn the correct structure of this beautiful language.
At the same time she puts emphasis on accurate pronunciation and effective communication skills, making it a fun learning experience.
She teaches Spanish for beginners – taking into consideration her students’ mother tongue – as much as intermediate and advanced levels.
She offers expat courses, tailored to her students’ wishes and needs, focusing on the necessary vocabulary in dealing with daily life on the Costa del Sol.
